Application Procedures

Except for certain services that require an interview for selection, applicants may submit an application form and pay the relevant fees on a first-come-first-served basis.
Target Group
-
The target group is children aged from 6 to 24 in the community and their families with the following needs:

Personal development needs (e.g. emotional, social or behavioural difficulties);

Special needs arising from disadvantaged living environment (e.g. deprived family or social environment) or new life challenges or difficulties.
Scopes of Service
Core Programmes
-
Guidance & Counselling: moral education group, parent’s interactive group, emotional counselling group, after-school support service and casework.

Services are provided for children and youth in disadvantaged environment.

Socialisation services: Social Groups, Sex Education Groups etc.

Community Participation: Volunteer groups, Community Concern Groups etc.
Non-core Programmes

Drop-in service, interest groups, summer youth programmes.

Service Objectives

Working together with the parents, to assist children and youth to become happy, healthy, attentive and contributing members of society. We facilitate well-balanced personal development of children, helping them develop life skills, potential and problem solving ability; in addition, we facilitate the building up of positive values of life and positive attitudes, mutual-help peer relationship, clear direction towards study and work, developing contribution to, and participation in, the community;

To provide guidance and supportive services for disadvantaged children and their family so as to guide them into a positive life;

To arouse the community’s concern on youth issues so that young people can grow up in a concerned and supportive environment.
