Service Objectives

To assist our service targets to re-enter the employment market upon completion of training, to sustain in their new posts, and to move up their career ladders.
Target Group
-
People aged 15 or above and with education attainment of sub-degree or below can enrol in training courses of the Employees Retraining Board (including new arrivals).
Scopes of Service
-
Full-time placement-tied courses are provided; for example, “Foundation Certificate in Cosmetician Assistant Training”, “Foundation Certificate in Nail Technician Training” and “Foundation Certificate in Hair Stylist Assistant Training”. Generic skills training courses are also provided, e.g. “Workplace English” and so on.

Fees

Nil or free for people of low income (This is applicable for placement-tied courses which last for 7 days or more, with an attendance rate of 80% or above. The maximum amount of retraining allowance a trainee is eligible to receive for each course is computed with reference to the number of full-day training sessions attended.)
