Service Objectives
-
To empower and help local residents to understand and address the specific needs or issues faced by the community and to encourage residents’ involvement in resolving these needs or issues; to solve problems in the community, improve the living environment and improve the quality of life for the residents.
Target Group
-
Residents living in the service boundary of the centre.
Scopes of Service
-
Organisation Work: encourage resident to help each other so that issues in the community can be solved together and quality of life can be improved.

Community Groups: work as a group to satisfy the needs of individual communities and promote volunteer work in the community.

Community Education: through various activities such as exhibition, talks and information counters for residents to raise their awareness of the society.

Community Care Programme: encourage mutual-help network within the residents in the community so that different needs from any specific groups can be answered.

Community Activities: provide recreational activities to satisfy the needs of different communities.

Advice, Counselling and Referrals: provide information, counselling and referrals to individuals and families to assist them in handling issues in their daily lives.
Facilities

Group discussion room, community library, computer with Internet access, toys corner, TV, newspapers and magazine
Fees

Free of charge; individual activities may be charged depending on their nature.
Application Procedures

Apply in person or by phone to the centre.

Referred by government departments, Social Welfare Department, hospitals, non-government organisations, local organisations and individuals.
Withdrawal Procedures
Submit your request to the centre.
